Carefully selected and optimized species for maximum
environmental and economic impact
Each species brings unique capabilities to our integrated solutions
Our platform focuses on three seaweed species selected for their proven performance in RAS systems, bioactive compound production, and commercial scalability. Each species has been extensively tested for water purification capacity, growth rates, and methane reduction potential.
청각 (Cheonggak) | Green Seaweed
Premium bioactive seaweed species renowned for its high content of methane-inhibiting compounds and rapid growth in controlled RAS environments. Codium fragile represents the premium tier of our species platform.
괭생이모자반 | Brown Seaweed
Abundant biomass producer that transforms from coastal "waste" into valuable resource. Sargassum horneri excels in cost-effective production and demonstrates the circular economy principles at the heart of our platform.
바다고리풀 | Red Seaweed
The workhorse of integrated RAS systems, Gracilaria species excel at nutrient absorption and water purification. This genus combines exceptional environmental performance with established commercial markets for agar production.
바다고리풀 (Asparagopsis) | Red Seaweed
The most potent methane-reducing seaweed known to science. Asparagopsis contains high concentrations of bromoform, the key bioactive compound that inhibits methanogenic archaea in ruminant livestock. Aenon has developed precision processing methods to preserve these critical compounds from harvest to feed production.
Asparagopsis loses its methane-reducing efficacy if bromoform is lost during processing. Aenon's breakthrough lies in our low-stress harvesting and precision desalination protocols:
Aenon employed Box-Behnken experimental design to map the interaction effects of desalination time, frequency, and centrifugation parameters. Our 3D surface analysis identified the precise processing window that maintains bromoform levels above 80% while achieving commercial-scale throughput.
